Refund Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains when a payment is refunded and how. It applies to paid Novilyze subscriptions and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Cancelling
You may cancel automatic renewal at any time from the billing settings in your account or through Polar's customer portal, which you reach from the same place. An ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: the plan remains active until then, and no further charge is made afterwards. The cancellation request is recorded with Polar within three business days after it is received.
An ordinary cancellation stops renewal only. It does not retroactively cancel the billing period that has already begun and does not create a refund or credit for any unused portion.
An upgrade to a plan with greater benefits or higher usage limits takes effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period, and the amount will be shown before you confirm the change.
A change to a plan with fewer benefits or lower usage limits takes effect at the beginning of the next billing period. Until then, you will continue to receive the benefits of the current plan, and no refund or credit will be provided for the difference.
A change from monthly to annual billing takes effect on the date and at the price shown before you confirm the change. A change from annual to monthly billing takes effect at the end of the annual billing period already paid for, with no refund for the unused portion of that period.
Your statutory right to cancel
Israeli consumer law gives a consumer, as defined by law, the right to cancel a distance purchase of a continuing service within 14 days of making the transaction, or of receiving the disclosure document, whichever is later, whether or not the service has already begun. Certain consumers may have a longer cancellation period where the conditions prescribed by law are met. Where such a right applies to you, it prevails over any conflicting provision of this Policy.
This Policy does not provide a refund for an ordinary cancellation. If applicable law requires cancellation of a transaction and a refund, only the amount required by law will be refunded, after deducting the proportionate value of the Service already provided and any cancellation fee permitted by law, to the extent those deductions are permitted in the circumstances.
Where cancellation results from a defect, non-conformity, failure to provide the Service on time or another breach of the transaction, no cancellation fee will be deducted.
When a statutory cancellation takes effect, access to the paid plan ends. A refund required by law will be processed within the period prescribed by law.
Refunds beyond that
Where a charge was incorrect or duplicated, or the Service was not provided and we could not put it right, contact us. Where a refund is due, it will be approved and processed through Polar.
We do not refund a period you simply did not use, and we do not refund the difference when a plan is bought and later changed for a cheaper one, because the higher plan was available to you throughout. Cancelling or moving to a cheaper plan does not itself produce a prorated refund or a credit: what you paid for keeps running until the period ends.
If you are entitled to a refund for a payment to which a discount applied, the refund will be calculated based on the amount actually paid, not the regular price.
How a refund is paid
Paid subscriptions are sold by Polar Software, Inc., our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record, so the purchase transaction is with Polar. An approved refund is issued through Polar to the payment method used for the purchase. As the seller, Polar may also cancel a transaction and issue a refund under its terms, applicable law and payment-method rules.
Contact us at support@novilyze.com or through the billing controls in your account. We aim to respond within a few days. After a refund is approved, the time before it appears depends on Polar, the payment processor and the financial institution that issued the payment method.
